NEW: 5 Start ACME Drive Nuts in the Online Store!
Mount directly to 8020 -- make a complete axis with our unique parts.

The parts sold on this site are
designed for
the DIY CNC machine builder. Lots of people are building
their
own CNC routers, and they all face the common challenge of finding a
good way to mount motors, screws, and bearings. Industrial
systems that accomplish this can easily cost hundreds, if not thousands
of dollars. While there is a reason for this cost,
most of
it is unnecessary for the DIYer. If you are building a hobby
machine, you don't need fancy anodizing or a reseller's markup
(or
a fancy webpage for that matter, which this definitely is not!).
You want qualtiy, affordable components that work with the
other
parts you've scoured the internet to find.

My parts are
designed to get you everything you need for your machine at a great
price. They are designed to connect to the popular 15 series
aluminum extrusion profile from 8020. The design is flexible
enough to let you choose any NEMA 23 or 34 motor you want, as well as
the
length and pitch of ACME screw. It's also easy to use -- just
bolt onto your extrusion to create a solid, backlash-free drive axis,
with no machining required. The components are designed to work
together as a system -- see some of the project logs from the links
page to understand how all of the parts fit together.
Other things you'll find on this
site include:
- Photos, pricing, and online ordering in the Online Store.
- A suggested parts list for the other standard
industrial components you'll need, all available from familiar
online vendors in the Parts
List section.
- CAD files (2D and 3D) for use in your CNC design, available
in the CAD section
- Links to vendors and other CNC resources in the Links section. This is
not an advertising section -- these sites are all ones I've used in the
design of my own cnc router.
Good luck with your CNC machine!
